ALINA: (FS: 6.2) A Siren, who like most Sirens, manipulates others by evoking sympathy for her.
AMANTA DE NOAPTE: (FS: 2.3) Secretary of the Sanguine Council.
ARCANO CINNABAR: (FS: 1.7) An Afro-American vampire from New Orleans, who in 1980 was invited by Queen Danica to come to Eveningvein to try to decipher the Whispering Scrolls. Currently, as a member of the Collective, he’s still working to unravel this mystery. He’s a sharp detective, but his voodoo heritage often makes him overly superstitious.
ARDEN STILLWELL: (FS: 1.7) Turned into a vampire in 1925 while rescuing Cherish from the evil vampire, Count Segal. On the surface he acts rather laid-back and nonchalant, but inside, he occasionally has qualms about being a vampire. He currently lives in Eveningvein and is working on his memoirs.
BECLOUD BALAN: (FS: 5.8) A warlock who specializes in scrying for missing people.
BOGDAN ALEXE (FM: 6.2; FS: 6.3) A sub-prefect of a prefecture that includes the town of Rau.
CAPTAIN FONTAINE: (FS: 3.5) A Slayer captain, whom Arden encountered in 1925. At the time, Captain Fontaine was in charge of eliminating supernaturals in an area that included Paris, France.
CHERISH CHAT: (FM: 1.7; FS: 3.2) Formerly, one of Count Segal’s head servants; currently, a vampiress and Arden’s wife.
COUNT SEGAL: (FS: 3.5) The once, evil ruler of the now banished Kingdom of Nefaria.
CRYPTA GLYPOR: (FM: 1.7; FS: 2.1) A 160-year-old teen-vampiress. Despite her wild streak (seen in her illicit affair with Sav), she still possesses an affection for her Eveningvein family—though she never feels like she ever fits in. Her parents died during the fall of the first Eveningvein while helping to defend it. As a result, Crypta has a permanent seat on the Sanguine Council—though she rarely attends the meetings.
DANICA DARLOCK: (FS: 1.1) A centuries-old vampiress and currently Queen of Eveningvein. She’s a savvy leader and feels a deep responsibility for the welfare of other members of the Collective. Before being Queen, she spent many centuries as a Rogue V and still cherishes memories of those wild nights long ago.
DR. CURING: (FM: 4.7; FS: 4.8) Eveningvein’s head healing mage.
DR. HERBERT FRANKENSTEIN: (FS: 2.3) The descendant of Dr. Victor Frankenstein. Because of his aid in ridding the Collective of the werewolf threat, he’s been allowed to live in Eveningvein.
EBON LaRUSE: (FM: 2.6; FS: 5.4): Rubymist’s son, who at his mother’s urging, spread a malicious rumor about Crypta, which he later regretted doing. Struggling to free himself from his mother’s influence often leads him to make rash choices.
GLOBIN: (FS 1.7) A teen-vampire from a Collective in Canada who is visiting Eveningvein with Rouge.
GRIMM: (FS: 1.4) Danica’s head servant.
H-Z
JET: (FS: 4.6) A Pariah, who appears suddenly in Eveningvein and claims to be Danica’s son. He bears a spiteful attitude toward Danica and isn’t shy about making demands. Much of his past remains a mystery.
LORD BRAM OF CONNING: (FS: 4.2) Danica’s Thrall in 1388.
MICFANG: (FS: 6.1) A teen-V who persuades some of his fellow V’s to start using cellphones.
MICHELLE: (FS: 1.3) A red-headed Slayer who hunts supernaturals with Sarah.
NIGHTPECK LaRUSE: (FS: 5.4) Rubymist’s submissive husband.
NELU: (FS: 6.3) Bogdan’s servant.
ROUGE: (FS: 1.7) A teen-vampiress from a Collective in Canada who is visiting Eveningvein with Globin.
RUBYMIST LaRUSE: (FS 1.7) Resident of Eveningvein and member of the Sanguine Council. She’s obsessed with ousting Danica from the throne and taking her place as Queen. It’s not so much a hunger for power that drives her ambition, but more a sense of propriety. Rubymist feels she has more refinement than Danica and is thus better suited to be Queen.
SARAH: (FS: 1.3) A blond Slayer who hunts supernaturals with Michelle.
SAV: (FM: 2.1; FS: 2.4) Crypta’s werewolf boyfriend.
SKULLRON EULE: (FS: 1.7) A passionate bureaucrat who chairs the Sanguine Council.
SLATETOOTH: (FS: 2.2) Crypta’s head servant.
STRILLGOTH: (FS: 4.9) A performer of neogoth music and later Danica’s Thrall.
VERMILION: (FS: 2.7) A gay V living in Eveningvein. He and his warlock husband, Wander, love to host galas, concerts, and special events.
WINTERLUST SHADEX: (FS: 2.3) A somber member of the Sanguine Council.
